Best DAD Ever

Growing up as a little girl I never knew the actual love of a Father. And that’s not because my dad wasn’t around-he was; but just not involved in the way I would’ve liked him to be. The role of a father is one of protection, guidance and provision. A father is a girl’s first love –everything her father says and does will shape how she views herself and how she expects to be treated by other men for the rest of her life.

His Purpose in Your Situation!

download
Do not fear for your future. Fear is the troubler for anyone facing life-altering possibilities. In the shift, everything will be shaken, and with the shaking wrong things that have been tolerated become more emboldened. Your choice must be truth, the truth of God’s Word. He will never leave or forsake you!
No matter what, commit to maintain your dignity in God. Head up, shoulders straight, think clearly, one day at a time—you can do anything one day at a time! Settle it in your thinking that the Lord has divine purpose in the situation, possibly even to change your purpose. Patiently allow Him to merge the two, His purpose and yours. And be thankful . . . there’s always a fourth man in the furnace!
Amen

Watch Your Mouth

I think it’s safe to say that we women, more often than men, have a tendency to speak before we actually think about what we want to say. I am definitely guilty of that.  For some of us, our words and even our tone changes if we are, what is now referred to as ‘hangry’ (anger caused by hunger). We say things when we are upset; when its leading up to that ‘time of the month’; when we don’t get enough sleep; when we don’t feel well-the list is endless. And the worst part is sometimes we make up excuses for the wrong things we’ve said, when essentially we should apologize, repent and ask God to give us the grace needed to overcome by taking control of our tongue and the words that proceed from our mouth. Guest Post: TERRIBLE TEEN VS. MERCIFUL MASTER

I was very popular in my teenage years. I had many friends no matter what religion, no matter what gender, friends were my life. I loved my friends so much I would do anything for them. I cared for them, I’ve prayed for them but that didn’t mean I lived a separate life from them. Although I loved Jesus very much, I was not willing nor completely able to sacrifice my fun for Him. I got into a lot of trouble, I lied, I cheated and I was selfish, very selfish. I knew God had a great plan for me but I was not ready to hear it.

The Big Comfy Couch

Growing up, my absolute favourite TV show was The Big Comfy Couch. I loved how she somehow kept all her things inside this couch.   But most activities were done on this couch and it prevented her from ‘growing’ up. She also was limited in doing other things, because she needed to always return to her comfy couch.
The same way, when we get comfortable, it will be difficult to truly grow in our walk with God. God can’t speak to us or move in our life when we are stagnant.
So ladies, the question is, are you comfortable today?
