Thankful, Grateful, Blessed!!

Major change is on its way! The days are going to get shorter, and the crisp, cool fall breeze is going to fill the air. One of the most picturesque seasons will be our backdrop in a few short weeks, and I can hardly wait! Continue reading “Thankful, Grateful, Blessed!!”

You Reap What You Sow

I recently came to the realization that farmers have an extremely hard job. My eyes got opened to this fact when I moved into a community vastly populated with farmland and farmers. I am honestly in awe of the beautiful designs of their fields, their gorgeous animals, their amazing crops, but most importantly how hard they diligently work without giving up. It requires a great deal of patience to be a farmer and that is something to be inspired by. Continue reading “You Reap What You Sow”

Best DAD Ever

Growing up as a little girl I never knew the actual love of a Father. And that’s not because my dad wasn’t around-he was; but just not involved in the way I would’ve liked him to be. The role of a father is one of protection, guidance and provision. A father is a girl’s first love –everything her father says and does will shape how she views herself and how she expects to be treated by other men for the rest of her life.

Season’s Change

If you live in Canada, one thing you and I can agree on is that the weather has been changing drastically and its harder to distinguish each season. We have four seasons on this side of the globe …spring, summer, fall, and winter- but lately they seem to be overlapping.

The bible vividly describes the seasons throughout our lives in the third chapter of Ecclesiastes.

His Purpose in Your Situation!

Do not fear for your future. Fear is the troubler for anyone facing life-altering possibilities. In the shift, everything will be shaken, and with the shaking wrong things that have been tolerated become more emboldened. Your choice must be truth, the truth of God’s Word. He will never leave or forsake you!
No matter what, commit to maintain your dignity in God. Head up, shoulders straight, think clearly, one day at a time—you can do anything one day at a time! Settle it in your thinking that the Lord has divine purpose in the situation, possibly even to change your purpose. Patiently allow Him to merge the two, His purpose and yours. And be thankful . . . there’s always a fourth man in the furnace!

Purify My Heart!

Do you filter your water?

Our drinking water is already filtered in Canada, but still many of us use bottled waters or filter our tap water with  purifiers. We don’t necessarily see anything in the water or physically react to “tap water” but we feel the need to further cleanse it.

Watch Your Mouth

I think it’s safe to say that we women, more often than men, have a tendency to speak before we actually think about what we want to say. I am definitely guilty of that.  For some of us, our words and even our tone changes if we are, what is now referred to as ‘hangry’ (anger caused by hunger). We say things when we are upset; when its leading up to that ‘time of the month’; when we don’t get enough sleep; when we don’t feel well-the list is endless. And the worst part is sometimes we make up excuses for the wrong things we’ve said, when essentially we should apologize, repent and ask God to give us the grace needed to overcome by taking control of our tongue and the words that proceed from our mouth. Continue reading “Watch Your Mouth”
