If you live in Canada, one thing you and I can agree on is that the weather has been changing drastically and its harder to distinguish each season. We have four seasons on this side of the globe …spring, summer, fall, and winter- but lately they seem to be overlapping.
The bible vividly describes the seasons throughout our lives in the third chapter of Ecclesiastes.
Some seasons are filled with joy, while others are filled with pain.
It is especially difficult journeying through those seasons where difficulty is at its peak and joy seems far from our path. But just as our universal seasons change, the seasons of our lives do as well. They are just temporary and will not last. However, while you are in those seasons of pain, it may not seem like change is coming nor victory around the corner. But rest assured, our Father will always walk with us in every season throughout our lives.
As we trek through those difficult seasons, God really wants our faith in Him to increase and our trust in Him to have no borders. Nothing and no one can carry us through hardships, besides our Father. He is the one who is in control of our lives, as well as every season we walk through ( Daniel 2:21).
With one word from His mouth, things in the atmosphere change and shifts take place, even in our lives.
If you are weary and discouraged today because of the circumstances around you, I pray that you will find comfort in knowing that His grace is sufficient for you and His power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). This is a promise that I always cling to. His power will always be made perfect in our weakness, so we can view our pain in light of who He is. We cannot control the seasons in our lives but we can get strength and power to walk through them from Him.
Your season of drought/dryness is only temporary, and a new season of fruitfulness is on the way!! Be encouraged and know that the Lord will fulfill His promises, in every season of your life!! Continue to praise Him in good times and bad.
If you are walking through a season of hurt or pain, I encourage you to listen to this beautiful song by Kari Jobe. Remember that you can always run to the arms of our Father!!
