What is this act of surrender that solicits the move of God in your life? Sometimes you don’t feel it right away as you tell yourself to calm down, to let go of your worries that plagued you during the day and to focus on the task at hand. The hustle and bustle of the day is winding down and you find that your busy mind will do anything but be still. But slowly and surely as you think of how good, how great God is, His Spirit moves. We have officially “settled” into the New Year, and some of us may already be struggling in achieving our New Year’s resolutions.
We have goals and aspirations we hope to achieve this year…it could be something small, like eating healthier, or something even bigger, like finishing a school program successfully.
In any case, why do we struggle to meet these goals?

This is a verse I am sure many of you know well. Even if you didn’t know it was from the Bible, I am sure you have sung it in a song at church. But have you ever wondered, how far the east really is from the west? This verse doesn’t even specify which east and west it is talking about. Do we measure from the east end of the earth to the west end of the earth? Or perhaps we should go even wider and measure the east end of the universe from the west end of the universe.
